Sister Semerita Mbambu, CSC, (second from left) participated in an international Celebration for Peace day in Uganda, planting a tree as a sign of peace and participating in an ecumenical prayer as a sign of unity. The event was facilitated by several non-governmental organizations in the Rwenzori region where conflict occurred between the army and the royal guards in 2016. Hundreds of people died in the attack, which also left behind many widows and orphans.
